Description

This effortless chocolate mousse is light, fluffy, and made with just a few ingredients. No eggs, no cooking—just a quick, decadent treat in minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional, enhances flavor)

  • Chocolate shavings or whipped cream (for garnish)

Instructions

Whip the Cream

In a large mixing bowl, combine cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.

Using a hand mixer or whisk, whip the mixture on medium-high speed for 1–2 minutes, until it forms soft, fluffy peaks.

2. Serve & Enjoy

Spoon the mousse into serving cups.

Garnish with chocolate shavings, extra whipped cream, or berries.

Serve immediately or chill for a firmer texture.

Notes

  • For a richer mousse, add melted chocolate (¼ cup, cooled slightly) before whipping.
  • Dairy-free option: Use coconut cream instead of heavy cream.

  • Make it fancy: Layer with crushed cookies or fruit for a parfait-style dessert!
