Description

These festive and fun DIY peppermint candy spoons are perfect for stirring into hot chocolate or coffee during the holiday season. They’re easy to make, delicious, and add a delightful minty flavor to your favorite winter drinks. Perfect as gifts or party favors!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 peppermint candies (or candy canes)
  • 6 plastic or silicone spoon molds
  • Optional: Chocolate chips for dipping (white or dark)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Place the peppermint candies in a ziplock bag and crush them using a rolling pin or hammer. You want small chunks but not a fine powder.
  • Lightly grease the silicone spoon molds with cooking spray or a little oil.
  • Fill each spoon mold with the crushed peppermint candy, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  • Place the filled molds on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the candies are fully melted.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the candy spoons to cool completely in the molds before gently popping them out.
  • Optional: Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Dip the ends of the spoons into the chocolate, then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  • Once fully cooled and set, your candy spoons are ready to enjoy or package up for gifts!

Notes

  • Be sure to keep a close eye on the spoons while baking to prevent over-melting.
  • Store the candy spoons in an airtight container to prevent them from becoming sticky.
  • These spoons can be used to stir into hot chocolate, coffee, or tea for a festive minty twist.
