  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar (balances flavors)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water, if needed)
  • For Serving:
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, or mozzarella)
  • Sliced pickles or jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Cook the Chicken
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onion and bell pepper, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, cooking for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add ground chicken, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Pour in chicken broth if the mixture looks too thick.
