Description

A light, creamy, and refreshing dip made with fresh cucumber, yogurt, and herbs. Perfect for parties, snacks, or as a spread!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cucumber:

    • Grate the cucumber and place it in a clean kitchen towel.
    • Squeeze out as much liquid as possible to prevent a watery dip.
  • Mix the Ingredients:

    • In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, mayonnaise (if using), minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
    • Stir in the grated cucumber and mix until well combined.

  • Chill & Serve:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
    • Serve chilled with fresh vegetables, crackers, or pita chips.

Notes

Make it Lighter: Use low-fat Greek yogurt for a healthier version.

Extra Flavor: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or finely chopped green onions for a kick.

Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Stir before serving if liquid separates.
