Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For Topping:
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
Instructions
Prepare the Potatoes:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes (this removes excess starch for crispier fries). Drain and pat dry.
Season & Bake:
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on the baking sheet (avoid overcrowding).
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Add Garlic Butter & Parmesan:
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic.
- Drizzle over the hot fries, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, bake at 450°F (230°C) for the last 5 minutes.
- Swap russet potatoes for sweet potatoes for a different flavor.
- Serve with garlic aioli, ranch, or marinara sauce for dipping!
