- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup regular breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
- Cooking spray or oil for spraying
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the breading stations:
- In one bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
- In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- In a third bowl, combine the panko and regular breadcrumbs.
- Coat the chicken:
- Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Air fry:
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place chicken tenders in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
- Spray the tops lightly with oil.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

- For extra crispiness, use only panko breadcrumbs instead of regular ones.
