Description

This Crispy Air-Fried Halloumi is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a delicious drizzle of honey for the perfect sweet and salty balance. Quick and easy to make, it’s a great appetizer, snack, or side dish!


Ingredients

  • 8 oz halloumi cheese, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh thyme or mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for a few minutes.
  • Prepare the Halloumi:
    • Pat the halloumi slices dry with a paper towel.
    • Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper and smoked paprika for extra flavor.
  • Air Fry the Halloumi:
    • Arrange the halloumi slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • Make the Honey Drizzle:
    • In a small bowl, mix honey and lemon juice for a tangy-sweet drizzle.
  • Serve & Garnish:
    • Place the crispy halloumi on a plate and drizzle with honey mixture.
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh thyme or mint leaves.
    • Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, coat the halloumi in panko breadcrumbs before air frying.
