Description

  • 1 3/4 cups (220g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional Garnishes:

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter & Sugar:
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  • Add Wet Ingredients:
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix Dough:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  • Shape Cookies:
  • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  • Place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Garnish (Optional):
  • Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with melted chocolate, or add sprinkles before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add ½ tsp almond extract or zest of 1 lemon.
