- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (6 oz) can lump crab meat, drained (or 1 cup fresh crab meat)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
For Serving:
- Fried wonton chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices
- Extra sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the base – In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Add the seasonings – Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Fold in the crab – Gently mix in the crab meat, green onions, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and the Parmesan cheese.
- Bake – Transfer the mixture to a greased 8×8-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cook until bubbly – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until hot and golden brown on top.
- Serve warm – Garnish with extra green onions and serve immediately with wonton chips or crackers.
Notes
- Make it ahead: Assemble the dip a day in advance, store it in the fridge, and bake just before serving.
- Crockpot method: Mix everything and heat on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
