- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups M&M’s (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and 1 ½ cups of M&M’s.
- Bake: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Press a few extra M&M’s on top for a colorful look. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and serve: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
