Description

Soft, buttery cookies with a hint of cinnamon and a melt-in-your-mouth texture—perfect for the holidays or an everyday treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  6. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
  7. Scoop 1-inch dough balls, roll them in the cinnamon sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and slightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • To freeze, store unbaked dough balls in the freezer for up to 3 months and bake as needed.
  • For extra softness, slightly underbake the cookies and let them finish setting on the pan.

  • Add ½ tsp nutmeg or a pinch of cardamom for more spice flavor.
