Instructions
- :
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
- Combine: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Layer the batter: Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top browns too quickly, cover with foil during the last 15 minutes.
- Cool & glaze: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. If using, drizzle with the glaze once cooled.
- Slice & enjoy!
