Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow or vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
  • 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  • Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
  • Add Cake Mix: Gradually mix in the cake mix until a soft dough forms. Stir in the red and green sprinkles.
  • Chill the Dough: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (this helps the cookies hold their shape).
  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Form the Cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
  • Bake: Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  • Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with extra powdered sugar if desired.
