The Chopped BLT is a fresh, crunchy, and satisfying salad that turns the beloved bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich into a low-carb meal. It’s perfect for lunch, light dinners, or as a potluck side. You get all the classic BLT flavor in every bite — no bread required (unless you want it)!
Ingredients
6 slices bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup cucumber, diced (optional for extra crunch)
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 avocado, diced
1/4 cup shredded cheddar or crumbled feta (optional)
2 tablespoons mayo or ranch dressing (or more to taste)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Croutons or toasted bread cubes (optional)
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and avocado.
-
Add the crispy bacon and cheese (if using).

Drizzle with mayo or ranch dressing and gently toss to coat everything evenly.
-
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Top with croutons or toasted bread cubes if you want that classic sandwich crunch.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
-
For a lighter version, use turkey bacon and a Greek yogurt-based dressing.
-
Make it a meal by adding grilled chicken or a hard-boiled egg.
-
Best eaten fresh, but you can prep ingredients ahead and mix just before serving.
