Description

This Chocolate-Hazelnut Panini is a warm, crispy sandwich filled with rich chocolate-hazelnut spread and melted chocolate. With golden, buttery bread and a touch of crunch, it’s a quick and irresistible dessert or snack!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 slices brioche or Italian bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)
  • 2 oz (56g) dark or milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Assemble the Panini:

  1. Preheat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread chocolate-hazelnut spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped chocolate, hazelnuts, and cinnamon (if using).
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices (buttered side facing out).

Cook the Panini:

  1. Place the sandwiches in the panini press and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
    • If using a skillet, cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing down with a spatula.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Finish & Serve:

  1. Dust with powdered sugar and slice in half. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use French bread, sourdough, or whole wheat if preferred.
  • Add sliced bananas or strawberries for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert.
