- 4 slices of Italian bread, brioche, or sourdough
- 4 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
- Optional:
- 1 banana, sliced
- 4–6 strawberries, sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Sea salt, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat.
- Assemble the sandwich:
- Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread on two slices of bread.
- Add sliced bananas, strawberries, or chopped hazelnuts if desired.
- Place the remaining slices of bread on top.
- Butter the outside of the bread:
- Lightly spread butter on the outer sides of the bread to create a golden, crispy crust.
- Grill the panini:
- Place in a panini press and grill for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- If using a skillet, cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing down slightly with a spatula.
- Serve and enjoy:
- Dust with powdered sugar and a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor.
- Slice in half and enjoy warm!
