Description

This chocolate-hazelnut panini is a quick and easy treat that combines crispy grilled bread with creamy, melty chocolate-hazelnut spread. Enjoy it as a delicious breakfast, a comforting dessert, or a sweet afternoon snack!

  • 4 slices of Italian bread, brioche, or sourdough
  • 4 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • Optional:
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 46 strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Sea salt, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat.
  • Assemble the sandwich:
  • Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread on two slices of bread.
  • Add sliced bananas, strawberries, or chopped hazelnuts if desired.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top.
  • Butter the outside of the bread:
  • Lightly spread butter on the outer sides of the bread to create a golden, crispy crust.
  • Grill the panini:
  • Place in a panini press and grill for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  • If using a skillet, cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing down slightly with a spatula.
