Description

A fun, easy, and delicious twist on chili cheese dogs, wrapped in flaky crescent rolls and baked to golden perfection!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 slices American cheese (or 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese)
  • 2 (15 oz) cans chili (with or without beans)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chives (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Wrap the Hot Dogs:

    • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
    • Place half a slice of cheese (or shredded cheese) on each triangle.
    • Lay a hot dog at the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the tip.
    • Arrange wrapped hot dogs in the prepared baking dish.
  • Add the Chili:

    • Pour chili around the crescent-wrapped hot dogs, keeping the tops uncovered.
  • Bake:

    • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and chives (if using).
    • Brush over the tops of the crescent rolls.
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

  • Serve:

    • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra cheese or chives if desired.

Notes

  • Cheese Options: Try mozzarella, pepper jack, or cheddar for variety.
  • Chili Alternative: Use homemade chili instead of canned for a richer flavor.

  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
