Description

This Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a quick and delicious dinner featuring pan-seared or baked chicken paired with rich, buttery noodles. Perfect for busy weeknights!


Ingredients

  • For the Chicken:
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 chicken thighs)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • For the Buttered Noodles:
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or any pasta)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the Chicken
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F).
  • Add garlic and lemon juice, cooking for 1 more minute. Remove from heat and let rest.
  • Step 2: Cook the Noodles
  • Boil egg noodles in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Toss in cooked noodles, Parmesan, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3: Serve & Enjoy
  • Slice the chicken and serve over the buttered noodles. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

  • Want extra crispy chicken? Coat it in flour or panko breadcrumbs before searing.
