Description

This stromboli combines crispy chicken, savory ham, and melty Swiss cheese, all wrapped in a golden-brown crust. A fun and easy way to enjoy the flavors of Chicken Cordon Bleu with less effort!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (for garnish)

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle (about 12×16 inches).

Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the dough (if using).

Layer the fillings: Lay the ham slices over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with shredded chicken, Swiss cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Roll it up: Starting from a long edge, roll the dough into a log, tucking in the sides as you go. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.

Brush with egg wash (beaten egg) and melted butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dried parsley.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

Cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm with honey mustard or marinara sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.

Substitute provolone or mozzarella if you prefer a milder cheese.

Add crispy bacon for extra flavor!
