- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook rotini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Sear the steak bites
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak bites and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the cheese sauce
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Stir and let simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
- Gradually stir in cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan, mixing until smooth and creamy.
4. Combine everything
- Add the cooked rotini and steak bites into the cheese sauce. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
5. Serve
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Steak options: Sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon work best for tender steak bites.
- Extra flavor: Add sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions for depth.
- Spicy kick: Increase red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce.
- Lighter version: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Gluten-free: Use gluten-free pasta.
