Description

Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta is a hearty, comforting dish that combines all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the coziness of creamy pasta. It’s loaded with ground beef, melted cheese, and a rich, savory sauce that comes together in under 30 minutes—perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini work well)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional for extra creaminess)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chopped pickles, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1 minute to combine the flavors.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes with their juices. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir well, cover, and reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and heavy cream (if using). Mix until the cheese is melted and the pasta is creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley or diced pickles for a cheeseburger-like finish. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Pasta Options: Use any short pasta like penne, shells, or fusilli.
  • Meat Variations: Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Extra Cheesiness: Add more cheese or top with a sprinkle of Parmesan before serving.
  • Pickle Lovers: Stir in diced pickles for that classic cheeseburger tang!
