Ingredients

Units Scale
  • :
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (elbow, rotini, or shells)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • :
  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet or pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Sauté the Aromatics: Add the diced onion and garlic to the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  • Add Flavor: Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes (with juice), salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
  • Cook the Pasta: Pour in the beef broth and pasta. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  • Make It Cheesy: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, heavy cream, and butter (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve and Garnish: Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes to thicken. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve warm!

Notes

  • :
  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add pickles or crumbled bacon for extra cheeseburger flavor!
  • Use Velveeta for an extra creamy cheese sauce.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of milk.
