Description

These juicy cheeseburgers are wrapped in foil with seasoned potatoes and veggies, then baked or grilled to perfection. A simple and delicious all-in-one meal with easy cleanup!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns (optional)

For the Veggies & Potatoes:

  • 2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup baby carrots, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven or grill to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches). Spray with cooking spray.
  4. Divide the potatoes, carrots, onions, and zucchini evenly among the foil sheets. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Place a beef patty on top of each pile of veggies.
  6. Wrap the foil securely around the burgers and veggies, sealing tightly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the burgers reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). If grilling, place on medium heat for 25-30 minutes, flipping once.
  8. Carefully open the foil packs, place a slice of cheese on each patty, and let it melt.
  9. Serve directly from the foil or transfer to a bun for a cheeseburger-style meal.

Notes

  • Swap cheddar for Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack cheese.
  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • For crispy potatoes, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking.
  • Use lean ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version
