- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns (optional)
For the Veggies & Potatoes:
- 2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup baby carrots, sliced lengthwise
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 small zucchini, sliced (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven or grill to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 patties.
- Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches). Spray with cooking spray.
- Divide the potatoes, carrots, onions, and zucchini evenly among the foil sheets. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Place a beef patty on top of each pile of veggies.
- Wrap the foil securely around the burgers and veggies, sealing tightly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the burgers reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). If grilling, place on medium heat for 25-30 minutes, flipping once.
- Carefully open the foil packs, place a slice of cheese on each patty, and let it melt.
- Serve directly from the foil or transfer to a bun for a cheeseburger-style meal.
Notes
- Swap cheddar for Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack cheese.
- Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- For crispy potatoes, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking.
- Use lean ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version
