- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic (or garlic powder)

- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds (optional, but adds authentic flavor)
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for added richness)
Instructions
- Prepare the Spice Blend:
- In a small bowl, mix together the oregano, basil, rosemary, parsley, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, thyme, sage, and fennel seeds.
- Assemble the Dipping Oil:
- Place 1-2 teaspoons of the spice blend on a small plate or shallow dish.
- Pour extra virgin olive oil over the spices.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it on top for extra flavor.
