Description

This warm and cheesy Caprese Dip is the perfect blend of creamy mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and fresh basil. It’s a delicious twist on the classic Caprese salad, made into a melty, dippable appetizer that pairs perfectly with toasted bread or crackers!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • Balsamic glaze (for drizzling, optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Toasted baguette slices or crackers (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
  • Mix the cheeses: In a medium bowl, combine mozzarella, cream cheese, parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Assemble the dip: Spread the cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Add tomatoes: Toss cherry tomatoes with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Scatter them over the cheese mixture.
  • Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish and serve: Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Serve warm with toasted bread or crackers.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add ½ cup ricotta cheese to the mix.
  • Want more flavor? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • If you don’t have balsamic glaze, use a drizzle of balsamic vinegar for a tangy touch.
