Description

This Buttery Garlic Pizza is a dream come true for garlic lovers! A crispy, golden crust is slathered in rich garlic butter, topped with gooey cheese, and baked to perfection. Perfect as a main dish, appetizer, or side for pasta night!


Ingredients

  • For the Pizza Dough (or use store-bought)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • For the Buttery Garlic Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • For the Toppings
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (for extra flavor)

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Dough
  • In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • 2. Preheat & Prepare the Garlic Butter
  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  • 3. Roll Out the Dough & Assemble
  • Roll the dough into a 12-inch pizza crust on a floured surface.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Brush the entire surface generously with garlic butter.
  • Sprinkle with mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic powder.
  • 4. Bake the Pizza
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • 5. Garnish & Serve
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Slice and serve warm!

Notes

  • Extra Crunch: Add a sprinkle of cornmeal to the pizza stone before baking.
  • Make it Cheesy: Stuff the crust with mozzarella for an extra indulgent touch.
