- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- For the Buttery Garlic Sauce
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- For the Toppings
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (for extra flavor)
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Dough
- In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 2. Preheat & Prepare the Garlic Butter
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- 3. Roll Out the Dough & Assemble
- Roll the dough into a 12-inch pizza crust on a floured surface.
- Place on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Brush the entire surface generously with garlic butter.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic powder.
- 4. Bake the Pizza
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- 5. Garnish & Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
- Slice and serve warm!
