Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
    • 3 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp dried oregano
    • 1 tsp dried parsley
    • 1/4 tsp salt
  • For the Pizza:
    • 1 pre-made or homemade pizza dough (12-inch size)
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Optional: Red pepper flakes and fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, parsley, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a sheet of parchment paper for easy handling.
  4. Add Garlic Butter: Brush the garlic butter sauce generously over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges for the crust.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the garlic butter.
  6. Bake: Carefully transfer the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can add extra toppings like sliced mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, or caramelized onions for added flavor.
  • For a crispy crust, bake the pizza on a preheated pizza stone.
