Description

These easy Burger Dinner Foil Packets are a fun, mess-free way to enjoy a full burger-and-veggies meal straight off the grill or from the oven. Juicy burger patties cook alongside seasoned potatoes and veggies, all wrapped up in foil for a delicious all-in-one dinner with minimal cleanup!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 4 medium potatoes, diced (about 1/2 inch pieces)

  • 1 cup sliced carrots or bell peppers

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste (for veggies)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

  • Ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce for serving

  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or oven to 400°F.

  2. Make the burger patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined. Form into 4 equal patties.

  3. Prep the veggies: In another bowl, toss diced potatoes, carrots/peppers, and onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  4. Assemble foil packets: Lay out 4 large sheets of heavy-duty foil. Place an even portion of veggies in the center of each. Top with a burger patty.

  5. Seal the packets: Fold foil over the top and roll edges tightly to seal each packet closed.

  6. Cook:

    • Grill: Place packets over indirect heat and cook for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    • Oven: Place packets on a baking sheet and bake for 35–40 minutes.

  7. Finish and serve: Carefully open each packet (watch for steam!). Top with shredded cheese and let melt for 2–3 minutes. Serve with your favorite burger sauces.

Notes

Add a slice of bacon on top of each patty before sealing the foil for extra flavor.

Use pre-cooked or parboiled potatoes to speed up cook time.

Swap ground beef for turkey or plant-based patties if desired.
