Description

This Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and spicy appetizer made with tender shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and melted cheese. It’s baked until bubbly and served warm with chips, crackers, or veggies. A guaranteed hit for game day or any gathering!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish (8×8-inch or similar).
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until smooth.
  • Add Chicken & Cheese: Fold in the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  • Bake: Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with crumbled blue cheese (if using).
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  • Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, crackers, or bread slices.

Notes

  • Slow Cooker Option: Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until heated through.
  • Make it Extra Cheesy: Sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking for a gooey, golden crust.
  • Spice Level: Adjust buffalo sauce to your heat preference. Use mild sauce for less spice or add extra hot sauce for more heat.
