Description
This Brown Sugar Grilled Pineapple is juicy, caramelized, and bursting with flavor. The simple brown sugar and cinnamon coating creates a golden, slightly sticky glaze that pairs beautifully with the pineapple’s natural sweetness. Serve it on its own, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or alongside grilled meats for a tropical twist!
Ingredients
-
1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into rings or spears
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
-
Optional: honey or lime juice for drizzling
-
Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
-
Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
-
Mix the coating: In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
-
Coat the pineapple: Brush the sugar mixture onto both sides of the pineapple slices.
-
Grill: Place pineapple on the grill. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the sugar starts to caramelize.
-
Serve: Remove from grill and serve warm. Optional: drizzle with honey or a squeeze of lime juice. Top with ice cream or whipped cream for dessert!
Notes
-
You can also grill pineapple in a grill pan indoors.
