Description

These Blueberry Cheesecake Rolls are soft, golden pastries filled with a rich, creamy cheesecake mixture and juicy blueberries. They make the perfect sweet breakfast, brunch treat, or dessert! With a buttery, flaky exterior and a luscious filling, they’re irresistible and easy to make.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Rolls:
  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional, for brightness)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for coating blueberries)
  • For the Topping:
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • For the Glaze (Optional):
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat & Prep:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
  • 3. Prepare the Dough:
  • Roll out the crescent dough, separating it into triangles.
  • Lightly coat blueberries with flour (this prevents them from sinking).
  • 4. Assemble the Rolls:
  • Spread 1 tbsp of cheesecake filling onto each dough triangle.
  • Sprinkle a few blueberries on top.
  • Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the tip, sealing the edges gently.
  • Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
  • 5. Add Topping & Bake:
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • 6. Make the Glaze (Optional):
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
  • 7. Serve & Enjoy!
  • Best enjoyed warm, but they can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days.

Notes

  • No crescent dough? Use puff pastry or homemade dough instead.
  • Add crunch by sprinkling chopped almonds or pecans before baking.
  • Prefer more filling? Double the cheesecake mixture for an extra creamy bite.
  • Make ahead: Assemble the rolls and refrigerate overnight, then bake fresh in the morning.
