Instructions
Prep the Biscuits & Sausage
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters and spread them evenly in the dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Remove from heat.
2. Make the Gravy
- In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour, cooking for 1 minute until lightly golden.
- Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened (3-5 minutes).
- Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat.
3. Assemble the Casserole
- Sprinkle cooked sausage over the biscuits in the baking dish.
- Pour the gravy evenly over the sausage and biscuits.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and hot sauce (if using). Pour over the casserole.
- Sprinkle with cheese for extra flavor.
4. Bake & Serve
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until biscuits are golden and eggs are set.
