- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For Toppings:
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional, for a cheeseburger twist)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup sour cream or ranch dressing (for drizzling)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for burger-style garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven – Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the Beef – In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until browned (5-6 minutes). Drain excess grease. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Mix in ½ cup BBQ sauce and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Assemble the Nachos – Spread half of the tortilla chips on the baking sheet. Layer with half of the beef, bacon, and cheese. Repeat with the remaining chips, beef, bacon, and cheese.
- Bake – Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish & Serve – Remove from oven and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, green onions, and sesame seeds. Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce and sour cream/ranch. Serve immediately!
Notes
- Make It Spicy: Add jalapeños or drizzle with hot sauce.
- Swap the Chips: Try waffle fries or tater tots instead of tortilla chips.
- Add More Cheese: A drizzle of nacho cheese sauce makes these extra indulgent!
