Description

This Banana Bread Pudding is a warm, custardy dessert made with ripe bananas and soft bread soaked in a sweet, cinnamon-spiced mixture.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed bread (brioche or French bread)
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  • Place bread cubes in a large bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk together bananas, milk, cream, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  • Pour mixture over bread cubes and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to the prepared baking dish and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
