Scale
- For the Sliders:
- 12 Hawaiian rolls (or slider buns)
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced corned beef
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 3/4 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- For the Buttery Topping:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional, for a classic rye flavor)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Assemble the sliders – Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keeping them connected if possible). Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
- Layer the ingredients – Spread Thousand Island dressing on the bottom half of the rolls. Add a layer of corned beef, followed by Swiss cheese, then sauerkraut. Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings.
- Prepare the buttery topping – In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and caraway seeds (if using).
- Brush and bake – Brush the buttery topping evenly over the tops of the sliders. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired. Slice and serve warm!
Notes
- Make ahead: Assemble the sliders ahead of time, cover, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 300°F for 10 minutes for best results.
- Variations: Swap corned beef for pastrami or use Russian dressing instead of Thousand Island for a twist!
