Description

This Bacon Avocado Burger is the ultimate combo of crispy bacon, creamy avocado, and a juicy beef patty, all stacked on a toasted bun. It’s hearty, flavorful, and guaranteed to satisfy any burger craving. Perfect for grilling season or an easy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

8 slices bacon

1 large avocado, sliced

4 slices cheddar cheese (or pepper jack for a kick)

4 burger buns, toasted

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

Red onion slices (optional)

Mayo, chipotle mayo, or your favorite burger sauce

Instructions

  • Make the patties: In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into 4 equal patties, slightly wider than your buns. Press a small indent in the center of each to prevent puffing.

  • Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

  • Grill the burgers: Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute and cover the grill to melt.

  • Toast the buns: While burgers are cooking, toast buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden.

  • Assemble: Spread mayo or sauce on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, tomato, burger patty, bacon, avocado slices, and red onion. Add top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy version, use pepper jack cheese and add sliced jalapeños.

Mash the avocado with lime juice and a pinch of salt for an easy spread.

Great with a side of sweet potato fries or grilled corn on the cob.
