Description

This Apricot Dijon Glazed Salmon is the perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and savory. Made with just a handful of ingredients, the glaze caramelizes beautifully over tender, flaky salmon. It’s quick enough for a weeknight dinner but impressive enough to serve to guests. Pair it with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on or off)

  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves or jam

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions, lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease it.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic powder.

  3. Pat the salmon dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the apricot-Dijon glaze.

  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is bubbly.

  6. Optional: Broil for the last 1–2 minutes to get the glaze a little caramelized.

  7. Remove from the oven, garnish if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use honey or orange marmalade instead of apricot jam.

  • This glaze also works great on chicken or shrimp.

  • If your salmon has skin, bake it skin-side down for best texture.
