Description
This Apricot Dijon Glazed Salmon is the perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and savory. Made with just a handful of ingredients, the glaze caramelizes beautifully over tender, flaky salmon. It’s quick enough for a weeknight dinner but impressive enough to serve to guests. Pair it with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on or off)
-
1/4 cup apricot preserves or jam
-
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions, lemon wedges
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease it.
-
In a small bowl, mix together the apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic powder.
-
Pat the salmon dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
-
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the apricot-Dijon glaze.
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is bubbly.
-
Optional: Broil for the last 1–2 minutes to get the glaze a little caramelized.
-
Remove from the oven, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
-
You can use honey or orange marmalade instead of apricot jam.
-
This glaze also works great on chicken or shrimp.
-
If your salmon has skin, bake it skin-side down for best texture.
