- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Combine: Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the diced apples.
- Heat the oil: In a deep skillet or saucepan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the fritters: Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop 1 tablespoon of batter into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Make the glaze: In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Glaze & serve: Drizzle the warm fritter bites with the glaze and enjoy!

- For air frying: Brush with melted butter and air fry at 375°F for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Add crunch by mixing chopped pecans or walnuts into the batter.
