Description

Amish Country Casserole is a creamy, comforting pasta bake made with ground beef, egg noodles, and a rich tomato-based sauce. With pantry staples and minimal prep, this is the kind of recipe that’s perfect for weeknights, potlucks, or make-ahead meals.

Ingredients

Units Scale

12 oz egg noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp paprika (optional)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Add garlic and cook another minute.

Stir in both soups, tomato sauce, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well and simmer for a few minutes.

Combine the cooked noodles and meat sauce in a large bowl or directly in the casserole dish. Stir until evenly coated.

Transfer to the prepared baking dish. Top with shredded cheese if using.

Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 5–10 minutes if you want a crispy top.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This casserole freezes well—assemble, cover tightly, and freeze before baking.

Swap beef for ground turkey or sausage for a twist.

Serve with a side salad or steamed veggies for a full meal.
