Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 chicken thighs)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for heat)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for freshness)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer – Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the chicken – Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel. In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and chili powder. Rub this mixture all over the chicken.
- Air fry the chicken – Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes, then flip and cook for another 6-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Rest & serve – Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides like roasted veggies, rice, or salad!
Notes
- Thicker chicken breasts? Pound them to an even thickness for even cooking.
- Want extra flavor? Marinate the chicken in the spice mix with olive oil & lemon juice for 30 minutes to 24 hours.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
