Description

A crispy, flavorful, and healthy alternative to traditional fries, made effortlessly in the air fryer!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Cooking spray (avocado or olive oil)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Green Beans:

    • Rinse and pat dry the green beans. Trim off the stem ends.
  • Set Up the Breading Station:

    • In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
    • In another shallow bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bread the Green Beans:

    • Dip each green bean into the beaten eggs, coating well.
    • Transfer to the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C) for 5 minutes.

  • Cook the Green Bean Fries:

    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
    • Arrange the breaded green beans in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if needed.
    • Air fry for 5 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the beans. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Baking Option: If you don’t have an air fryer, bake at 425°F (218°C) for 12-15 minutes on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spraying lightly with oil.
  • Gluten-Free Alternative: Use gluten-free breadcrumbs instead of panko.
  • Storage & Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 2-3 minutes to crisp them back up.
