These air fryer calzones are the ultimate quick and cozy meal. Made with store-bought pizza dough and your favorite fillings, they’re golden, crispy, cheesy, and crazy easy to make. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a hearty snack.

- 1 package store-bought pizza dough (or homemade if preferred)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage or pepperoni
- 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped spinach (optional)
- Olive oil spray
- Optional: garlic butter (melted butter mixed with garlic powder and parsley)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each one into a small circle.
- Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on half of each dough circle, leaving the edge clear.
- Add your desired toppings: mozzarella, sausage or pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach, or anything you like.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Lightly spray the tops of the calzones with olive oil or brush with garlic butter.
- Place in the air fryer basket (in batches if needed). Cook for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly, then serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Don’t overfill the calzones or they might burst open.
- Make it vegetarian by skipping the meat and adding more veggies or plant-based sausage.
- Use marinara or Alfredo sauce for a fun twist.
