A touch of Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder in the patty mix for extra depth of flavor. Topped with melty cheese, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and a secret burger sauce, this will be your go-to burger recipe!
  • Ingredients:
  • For the patties:
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • For assembling:
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 pickle slices
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  • :
  • Prepare the patties: In a bowl, mix the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal-sized patties, pressing them slightly thinner in the center to prevent bulging while cooking.
  • Cook the burgers: Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add a little olive oil and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute and cover to melt.
  • Toast the buns: While the burgers cook, lightly toast the buns in a dry pan or on the grill for extra flavor.
  • Make the burger sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Assemble the burgers: Spread the sauce on the bottom buns, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, cooked patties, red onion, and pickles. Add the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • :
  • Use brioche buns for a slightly sweet and buttery flavor.
  • For an extra twist, add crispy bacon or caramelized onions.
  • Swap out beef for turkey or plant-based patties for a lighter option.
