Description

These sweet and tangy Hawaiian meatballs come together with just three ingredients! Perfect for busy weeknights or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (about 24 oz) frozen meatballs (beef or turkey)
  • 1 bottle (16 oz) Hawaiian-style BBQ sauce (or regular BBQ sauce + 1/2 cup pineapple juice)
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained

Instructions

  1. Slow Cooker Method:

    • Add frozen meatballs, BBQ sauce, and pineapple chunks to a slow cooker. Stir to coat.
    • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stovetop Method:

    • In a large pot, combine meatballs, BBQ sauce, and pineapple chunks.
    • Cook over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  3. Serve & Enjoy!

    • Serve warm as an appetizer with toothpicks or over rice for a full meal.

Notes:

  • Make it spicy: Add a dash of red pepper flakes or Sriracha for some heat.
  • Homemade meatballs? You can use homemade cooked meatballs instead of frozen.
  • Sauce substitute: If you don’t have Hawaiian BBQ sauce, mix regular BBQ sauce with pineapple juice for a similar taste.
