These Christmas ROLO Pretzels are the ultimate sweet-and-salty holiday treat, made in two delicious variations! One combines classic ROLO candies with pretzels and pecans for a turtle-style bite, while the other features festive M&M’s pressed into melty ROLOs for a colorful pop. For ROLO Pecan Pretzels (Turtle Style):
- 40 mini pretzel twists or squares
- 40 ROLO candies, unwrapped
- 40 pecan halves
For ROLO M&M Pretzels:
- 40 mini pretzel twists or squares
- 40 ROLO candies, unwrapped
- 40 red and green M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place pretzels in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Top each pretzel with one ROLO candy.
- Bake for 3–4 minutes, just until the ROLOs have softened but not melted completely.
- Remove from oven and immediately press a pecan half onto the center of half the pretzels for the turtle version.
- For the other half, press a red or green M&M into the center of the softened ROLO.
- Let cool completely at room temperature, or pop in the fridge for quicker setting.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Notes
- Make sure not to overbake the ROLOs; they should be soft enough to press but still hold their shape.
- You can easily double or halve the recipe depending on how many you want to make.
- Try using pretzel squares for a more even base.
