Description
This 2-ingredient BBQ chicken is one of the easiest dinners you’ll ever make. Just toss chicken breasts and your favorite BBQ sauce into the slow cooker, and a few hours later, you’ve got tender, flavorful shredded chicken perfect for sandwiches, wraps, salads, or on its own!
Ingredients
-
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
Instructions
-
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
-
Pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s coated well.
-
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and easy to shred.
-
Remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, then return it to the sauce and stir to coat.
-
Serve warm on buns, in tacos, over rice, or however you like!
Notes
-
For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or a pinch of brown sugar.
-
You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts if you prefer.
-
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
