Description

This 2-ingredient BBQ chicken is one of the easiest dinners you’ll ever make. Just toss chicken breasts and your favorite BBQ sauce into the slow cooker, and a few hours later, you’ve got tender, flavorful shredded chicken perfect for sandwiches, wraps, salads, or on its own!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. Pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s coated well.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and easy to shred.

  4. Remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, then return it to the sauce and stir to coat.

  5. Serve warm on buns, in tacos, over rice, or however you like!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or a pinch of brown sugar.

  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts if you prefer.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
